Lime Crime’s lipstick in Serpentina
To start off this post, though a lot of people dislike Lime Crime for their business practices, I am still going to review their products. I personally like their products.
Let’s start this out comparing it to other Lime Crime lipsticks. If you’ve used any of their “strange colored” products, (I don’t know about their more normal shades, I haven’t used any) they’re very thick feeling on your lips. Honesty I could compare it to putting frosting on your lips. Ridiculously creamy. This is nothing like that. I believe this (and Poisonberry) are the first lipsticks Lime Crime has released that have shimmer in them and are slightly more, I don’t want to say watery but I don’t know how to describe it. Other Lime Crime lipsticks are extremely opaque and don’t need a lot of product to get a bright color, Serpentina isn’t like that. It’s buildable but slightly patchy. It also runs a lot after a short period of time. I believe using NYX Cosmetics’ Slim Eye Pencil in Emerald City as a lip liner could help this.
Shimmery (If you like that, I happen to)
Runs a lot
Does not last long
This lipstick is currently sold out until October, but you could try Ebay or Amazon to see if it’s available there.
